Prayer for March 27th.

Lord, thank You for providing me with Your peace. When the devil tries to steal my peace, reveal his plans to me. I won’t let him take my peace. Instead, I’ll remain rooted in You. 

Amen. 

Scripture: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” John 14:27

Allow the Lord’s peace to surround you. Don’t let the devil get his way. I encourage you to stay rooted in Christ, and His peace will be with you in all that you do. 

Prayer for March 11th.

God, Your love is incredible. Focusing on Your love reminds me that it’s based on Your goodness, not my actions. Help to receive Your love for me. 

Amen. 

Scripture: “He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will.” Ephesians 1:5

Allow Him to love you today, and every day after that. He chooses to love you. You choose to receive it. 

Prayer for March 10th.

This was yesterday’s and I forgot to put it up… (: 

Lord, I only want what You want for me. Like the apostle Paul, I choose to be content in every circumstance. 

Amen. 

Scripture: “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.” Philippians 4:11

Be content in Him. No matter the circumstance. 

Prayer for March 4th.

God, I don’t want to waste my time chasing cheap substitutes. You are the only One who can satisfy Show me how to daily find my true delight and satisfaction in You and only You. 

Amen. 

Scripture: “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4

Back to the basics. Only He can satisfy. Delight in your Heavenly Father. 

Prayer for February 29th.

Wow. God’s incredible timing never ceases to amaze me. I just posted about not relying on our own strength, and after I read my devotional for today and it was titled, “Don’t Get Burned Out on Too Much Activity.” Here is the prayer for today: 

Lord, I realize that doing good works is no replacement for truly knowing You. help me to find my rest in You as I lay useless activity aside to spend more time with You. 

Amen. 

Scripture: ” Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and leran from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

It seriously amazes me that this is the devotional I read after I wrote my recent post. Find rest in Him. 

Prayer for February 24th.

Lord, because I know that You are in control and work all things for good, I can be flexible when life doesn’t follow my plan. when my plans don’t work out, help me to find the good and stay positive. 

Amen. 

Scripture: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 

We need to give Him control. His plans are and will always be better than the plans we have for ourselves. Trust Him. Surrender to Him. Stay positive in Him. 

Prayer for February 17th.

God, I know that I can’t control everything, so I will do what I can and trust You to do what I can’t do. The storms of life do not control me. I trust Your plans for me. 

Amen. 

Scripture: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.” Psalm 46:1-3

I am not in control. He is. Trust Him. 

Prayer for February 16th.

God, sometimes the situation in front of me seems impossible, but You have brought me through difficult times int he past, and I know You can do it again. Help me to remember past successes and to think positively about my present situation. 

Amen. 

Scripture: “And David said, ‘The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.’ And Saul said to David, ‘Go and the Lord be with you.’ ”  1 Samuel 17:37

It’s time to remember that I have been able to get through past challenges. It’s time to think positively. It’s time to push through my present situation, and seek the Lord for His strength. I know my God will lead me through. 

Prayer for February 12th.

God, I thank You that even though you see my mistakes, You still love me and help me live a godly life. While I refuse to be discouraged by my failures, I also refuse to stay the same. I choose to follow You and imitate You more and more each day. 

Amen. 

Scripture: “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.” Ephesians 5:1 

I’m so desperate to live a life where I am imitating God daily. I want to move past my mistakes and live a life that is pleasing to Him, because He’s the only one that matters. 

Prayer for February 7th.

Lord, I want to spend my time agreeing with, not fighting, the great work You are accomplishing in me. I thank You that when I start to waste time, You always remind me that You love me and that Your timing is always best. 

Amen. 

Scripture: “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wis, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16

Today’s devotional was pretty convicting for me personally. I need to remember I’m on God’s time. I need to use it wisely. Tomorrow isn’t promised. How am I spending my time?
