Goodbye, Christmas 2011?
In less than 30 min, Christmas 2011 will be over. Wow. I think we can all agree that it went by quickly. I remember Christmas 2010 like it was yesterday, and now this years Christmas is about over. I honestly don’t know where the time went.
This years Christmas was filled with many blessings though. From lots of food to laughing till I cried. Time well spent with both family and friends....

Waiting.
Driving in the car today with one of my best friends who's smitten with a beautiful Christian lady. He believes that the Lord is calling him to love and lay his life down for her. It was so profound.
Me: I mean, you're called to be her friend right now?
Friend: Yeah.
Me: How do you know this is God asking?
Friend: I have perfect peace about it. Yes. I want nothing more than to pursue her, and to let her know my intentions and feelings and how much she means to me, but this is flesh. All flesh. It's my desires. The Lord has shown me that I must learn to be a faithful friend first, and lay my life down for her in the light of friendship.
Me: Right. You wouldn't want to cut this season short, and ruin things with her.
Friend: Exactly. It could take time... A lot of time for her and I.
Me: And you're okay with that? You're okay with years?
Friend: Absolutely. I keep thinking that this waiting season is for a purpose. And you know what? Even if I have to wait five, or ten years, it will produce a testimony. By God, it will produce a mighty and powerful testimony.
